'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Hercules and Meg Joining The Series, As Hook Becomes the Dark One

"Once Upon a Time" is officially going Greek as the show is going to feature another set of classic Disney characters from the movie "Hercules."

According to TV Line, the American fairy tale dramatic series will be bringing Hercules and Megara to the show. An ABC spokesperson also confirmed that the two new characters will be played by newcomer Jonathan Whitesell and Kacey Rohl from "Hannibal." The two will make their debut appearance once the show airs its 13th episode of season 5 which will be titled "Labor of Love."

As noted in the source, the "dashing, strapping" young Hercules will be on a quest to find his destiny and become the "greatest hero who ever lived." But along the way, he will meet and fall in love with a princess. Meg, on the other hand, is described as a "plucky young adventurer with a sly sense of humor and a tough, no-nonsense spirit." She has been trapped in a dungeon and now, her inner spark tries to find "the right opportunity to shine brightly once again."

IGN noted that the show hinted that they will be covering Greek mythology when it introduced the Promethean spark as a key plot device. Episode 13 will also mark the comeback of the young Snow White, played by Bailey Madison.

While fans wait for the appearance of Hercules and Meg, they will be seeing Hook turn into the Dark One in episode 10. Realty Today detailed that the upcoming episode titled "Broken Heart" will follow the events from the previous episode wherein Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) got wounded with the Excalibur. To save his life, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) leashed him to Excalibur, thus turning him into a Dark One too.

Hook becoming the Dark One will not be good news for Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) as Hook will be hungry for revenge for the person who made his life miserable. But the preview clip for episode 10 showed that it seems like the heart that will be breaking will be Emma's after Hook told her that he wants to hurt her the way she hurt him.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode 10 will air on Nov. 29 on ABC.
