'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Hook's Newfound Darkness Causes Tension
After the big reveal of Emma's plans in the previous episode of "Once Upon a Time," the fate of the rest of the characters is put into question.
It was reported that the previous episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 revealed the evil schemes of Emma, played by Jennifer Morrison. With that, Hook, played by Colin O'Donoghue, found out that he was actually killed and brought back to life by Emma, who was posing as the Dark One. After Emma saved Hook, it was revealed that her actions will lead to Zelena's death.
With Hook's newfound darkness, fans are expecting that his relationships with the characters are bound to change. There are speculations that Hook could team up with Zelena, in order to put an end to Emma's plans. On the other hand, Hook could end up joining Emma as the Dark Ones.
The co-creators of the series, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about what to expect from the characters in the episodes to come. They explained that Hook's darkness could be attracted to the evil side of Zelena. With that, her presence could instigate a love triangle between Hook and Emma.
Meanwhile, Regina, played by Lana Parrilla, is also put in a tough situation now that there are opposing sides for Zelena and Emma. Because she just gave birth to the child of Robin, played by Sean Maguire, she is torn between helping Emma control her darkness like she promised and just letting her be.
As for Emma's parents, Mary Margaret, played by Ginnifer Goodwin, and David, played by Josh Dallas, it can be expected that they will remain committed to protecting their daughter. However, they will be put in a difficult situation since it means that Zelena will die. The previous episodes have seen Zelena helping out their family, which makes them torn.
Meanwhile, fans will just have to stay tuned to figure out how the characters in Storybrooke will fare after the pivotal episodes.
"Once Upon a Time" season 5 is expected to return with another on ABC this Nov. 29.
