'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Episode 11 Spoilers: Emma Meets Old Friend as Regina Struggles With What Ifs

A familiar character from all the way back in the show's first season is expected to make an appearance in the upcoming midseason premiere of "Once Upon A Time."

The synopsis for the episode titled "Tougher Than the Rest" hints at the possibility of Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Regina Mills) escaping the Wish Realm with the help of an old friend. Will she be able to inspire this character's memories enough to ask him for help, or will Emma's own realization that she possesses the power to change her fate all along be enough to get her and Regina back home?

Speaking of Storybrooke, David (Josh Dallas) and Hook's (Colin O'Donoghue) quest to find Gideon (Giles Matthey) before he gets to Emma continues. But Gideon's parents, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), will find him first and will in turn learn the startling truth about where their son has been when he went missing.

As for Regina, she will be dealing with an inner struggle of her own when she begins to realize that everybody seems to be better off in the alternate world where her alter ego, the Evil Queen, no longer exists.

According to an advance preview of the episode posted by Spoiler TV, Regina will search for Robin (Sean Maguire) to try and see how different her life would've been if she had only went into the tavern to meet her supposed soul mate.

The trailer for the next episode promises that the back half of season 6 will be the show's "most epic yet, as Mr. Gold warns that "war is coming to Storybrooke."
