'Once Upon a Time' Season 7 News: Rebecca Mader Officially Returning for Multiple Episodes

After exiting in May, Rebecca Mader is returning to "Once Upon a Time" for its seventh season.

The actress is slated to appear in multiple season 7 episodes, according to reports. Further details about Mader's comeback are still being kept under wraps. It is unclear whether she will be reprising her role as Regina's (Lana Parrilla) half-sister Zelena, also known as the Wicked Witch.

"I am beyond thrilled to be returning to make magic with my beloved 'Once Upon a Time family,'" said Mader, who was first introduced in the series back in season 3. "I'm excited for this next chapter."

Mader joins the lineup of previously announced actors returning for the seventh installment, including Jennifer Morrison as Emma, Jared Gilmore as young Henry, alongside Emilie de Ravin and Giles Matthey as Belle and Gideon, respectively.

Moving forward to the seventh season, the ABC fantasy drama is getting a minor reset — relocating from Storybrooke to Hyperion Heights in Seattle. ABC has unveiled th first batch of promotional images and it shows a first look at some of the new characters.

Cinderella's evil step mom Lady Tremaine (Gabrielle Anwar) is seen in one photo while she confronts the newly cursed Regina (Parrilla) aka Roni. Also featured in the city-based setting is the new Alice in Wonderland (Rose Reynolds). Fans have already gotten a glimpse at one of Cinderella's stepsisters Drizella (Adelaide Kane) and Tiana (Mekia Cox).

"Henry leaves Storybrooke in search of his own story," reads the synopsis for the season 7 premiere. 'Years later in another realm, he encounters a troubled Cinderella, changing the trajectory of his quest forever. When Cinderella's evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine, poses a threat, Henry discovers that following his heart will require him to make more difficult choices than he ever could have imagined."

The seventh season of "Once Upon a Time" premieres Friday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
