'Once Upon A Time' News: 100th Episode Sees Return of Old Characters
The mid-season premiere of the twisted fairytales-inspired show "Once Upon a Time" will offer another spellbinding episode that will surely have its viewers glued to their TV screens. Apart from the upcoming episode featuring the heroes following Hook to the Underworld after he sacrificed himself to save Storybrooke, the 100th special episode will also feature the return of several characters from the past.
Titled "Souls of the Departed," the episode will mark the midseason premiere of the show and its 100th episode. It will feature the return of several past characters including Barbara Hershey's Cora, Giancarlo Esposito' Sidney Glass/Magic Mirror, Robbie Kay's Peter Pan, Lee Arenberg's Leroy/Grumpy, Jeffrey Kaiser's Dopey, and Greg Germann's Hades.
According to Spoiler TV, the show's midseason premiere will feature Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin), David (Josh Dallas), Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), and Gold (Robert Carlyle) embarking on a quest in the Underworld to rescue Hook (Colin O'Donoghue). However, it dawns on them that doing so will be far more difficult than how they earlier expected things to be as they come face to face with souls who have unfinished business and are bent on carrying out their personal revenge.
On the other hand, the episode will also feature a scene in the Enchanted Forest wherein someone from the Evil Queen's past returns and gives Regina a perfect birthday present.
Featuring past characters will not only be limited to the "Souls of the Departed" episode though as many of the show's previous fairytale-inspired characters are set to lend their presence anew to the show.
Meanwhile, an article on ET Online reports that there will be a new character making his appearance on one of the show's future episodes and he will be another ship-loving pirate who has a stormy past: Captain Silver. He will be breathed into life by actor Costas Mandylor.
ET Online opined that while details of the character are still heavily guarded, it is safe to assume that the new character has its links to Captain Hook, thanks to their hostile history.
"Once Upon a Time" returns with its "Souls of the Departed" episode on March 6.
