'One Piece' Episode 782: Luffy and Grant Face-Off in Fierce Combat in 'Navy Rookies' Arc's Final Episode

Just when Luffy and the rest of the Sanji Retrieval Team thought they were in the clear, a new threat appears between them and freedom in the next episode of the anime series "One Piece."

A huge battle broke out between the Sanji Retrieval Team and the Marine Rookies when the former was caught partaking of the Marine's food and even trying to steal from their storage. But while Grant and Bonham were determined to take Luffy and his team down, the third rookie, Zappa, just grew more and more in love with Carrot and Nami and was only fighting Luffy in order to have the girls all to himself.

But with a little team effort, and a whole lot of skills and brawns, the Sanji Retrieval Team managed to give Grant and his team the slip with food bags on their backs, only to be apprehended on the shore by Vice Admiral Prodi himself. But after spending a considerably long time on a speech about how the Straw Hats have been disturbing the otherwise quiet lives of innocent people with their seemingly endless sea adventures, the vice admiral went on to reveal that he was only confronting Luffy and his team in order not to be demoted.

Their battle against the vice admiral may not hold the fort for too long because in the next episode of "One Piece" titled "Fist of the Devil — Showdown! Luffy vs Grant," the two will once again battle it out more fiercely than they did before. The official trailer for the upcoming episode also shows Grant remembering a certain Aokiji, who was a former admiral whom Luffy and his crew encountered during the Water 7 arc. How will this particular memory affect a decisive battle between a pirate and a Navy soldier, who both have their people's pride to uphold?

"One Piece" episode 782 airs on Sunday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. JST on Fuji TV.

Meanwhile, episode 783, which is scheduled to air on the following Sunday, will finally feature the beginnings of the much-awaited "Whole Cake Island" arc and will reveal what has happened to Sanji since he left Zou.
