'One Piece' Episodes 778, 779 Spoilers: More News on Revolutionary Army Ends in Food Crisis for Straw Hats

Baltigo, the once mysterious island that served as the general headquarters of the Revolutionary Army, has been destroyed. What other information will Monkey D. Luffy and his crew learn from the devastating news in the next episode of "One Piece"?

While the previous episode mostly served as mere recaps of Tony Tony Chopper's past and Tin-Plate Wapol's return to power, along with the much lighter portion of the Straw Hats welcoming Carrot into the Thousand Sunny, the next episode will feature more details about the news Pedro discovered at the end of episode 778.

Episode 779 titled "Kaido Returns! An Imminent Threat to the Worst Generation!" will take its cues from chapter 824 of the manga series, wherein Luffy learns seemingly for the first time that the infamous leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon, is his father. This is something that his grandfather has already told him two years ago, but he seems to have forgotten.

The attack on Baltigo will be revealed to have been the work of Luffy's arch-nemesis, Blackbeard. The preview for the upcoming episode also teases the appearance of the Yonko pirate, Kaido of the Beasts, who is nurturing a grudge against Luffy and Trafalgar D. Water Law. He will also be issuing a threat on what he deems to be the worst generation yet.

Jack, on the other hand, will also be revealed to still be alive at the bottom of the sea after the millennium-old elephant Zunisha's retaliation sunk his whole fleet.

While it appears that an explosion in the Sunny's kitchen area will occur, this will hardly pass as a crisis compared to Luffy using up all of the Straw Hats' food provision for his poor attempt at cooking a meal for everyone. Will the Sanji Retrieval Team even make it to Whole Cake Island alive?

"One Piece" episode 779 airs on Saturday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m. JST on Fuji TV.
