'One-Punch Man' Episode 12 Ends Season 1 with No Confirmation of Season 2
"One-Punch Man" episode 12 has finally closed the book on the hit manga-based anime's first season. Despite its popularity and fans' clamor for more, season 2 remains vague at this point.
The "One-Punch Man" finale wraps up the fight between Saitama, the hero of the series, and the monster, Lord Boros. Saitama's opponent survived his first punch, something that doesn't usually happen, but after wild and comical fight scenes, like Saitama getting sent to the moon, the battle ended with the One-Punch Man emerging victorious. Although Saitama had to use more than the usual one punch to finish Lord Boros, his Serious Serious Punch, which is his strongest attack, turned the monster to dust in the end.
According to one review, "One-Punch Man" episode 12 packed a lot of content into a 24-minute show, resulting in a fast-paced episode.
But now that the season has ended, the question on the minds of "One-Punch Man's" fans and followers is: Will there be a season 2? Right now, there is very vague information about the possibility of season 2.
According to a tweet from Yusuke Murata, who illustrated the manga and created the anime remake, "he will work hard to make it possible." The tweet is in Japanese but was roughly translated by Anime Corner that spotted it on Twitter.
The tweet doesn't confirm anything except only that one person behind the manga and anime will do his part to make "One-Punch Man" season 2 possible. The manga still has a long way to go in terms of content, which means fans and followers of the anime adaptation of "One-Punch Man" need to sit back and be more patient until the Japanese comic version has enough progress from which to base a new season for the anime.
The anime version of "One-Punch Man" is made possible by MadHouse and director Shingo Natsume. The animated series premiered in Japan in October and was streamed outside of the country by Viz Media and Daisuki.
