'One Punch Man' Season 2: Can Brain Win Over Brawn in New Episodes of Superhero Parody Series?
Official details regarding the upcoming second season of the superhero parody anime series "One Punch Man" may be scarce, but fan speculations about it keep thriving. And the buzz has recently found a new source in the original series creator's latest crossover art.
Popular webcomic artist ONE recently took to Twitter to share a meme featuring a crossover between his two hit webcomic series, "One Punch Man" and "Mob Psycho 100."
In the image, "Mob Psycho 100's" Reigen is seen flinging a dash of salt on Saitama's bald head in the style of famous Turkish chef, Salt Bae. The daring act is witnessed by an anxious-looking Mob and an expressionless Genos who obviously just missed the joke. And as for Saitama? Caped Baldy doesn't look pleased at all.
The meme is just one of the many Salt Bae spoofs that have reportedly gained popularity in Japan. But should ONE decide to make this meme into a series of artworks promoting his webcomics, Saitama may just end up finding his match in the witty and highly clever con-man, Reigen; that is, if Mob's sly mentor manages to maintain enough clarity of mind to stay out of Saitama's punching range.
And all this because Reigen thought he could play a joke on the seemingly harmless Caped Baldy!
It will be remembered that despite his immense strength, the Hero Association ended up giving Saitama a B-Class Rank because he failed all of his intellectual challenges. In his current state in the anime, it would only take a sly opponent, who also has the decency not to underestimate him, to take Saitama down by a technicality.
Will Saitama's B-Class ranking remain a long-running gag in the series, or will it end up being an indication that someone within the Hero Association could eventually turn out to be strong enough to finally bring Caped Baldy to his knees?
Fans of the popular series may soon find out what awaits Saitama since "One Punch Man" season 2 is reportedly now in progress. If all goes well, new episodes of the highly anticipated installment of the superhero parody series may start airing during this year's fall anime season.
