'One Punch Man' Season 2 Updates: Release Date of Highly Anticipated Anime Series Remains Unclear

While "One Punch Man" season 2 was announced more than a year ago, it remains unclear as to when the highly anticipated anime series will return to the small screen.

There is no denying that "One Punch Man" is one of the most anticipated anime series. Unfortunately, while the series' upcoming season was confirmed last year, fans are still left in the dark as to when it will exactly arrive.

Whether the rumors claiming that the anime series' next season will arrive in late 2018 or 2019 are true, it is pretty obvious that fans will need to extend their patience before they can be treated anew to the brand of entertainment only "One Punch Man" can offer.

As if the uncertainty on the release date of "One Punch Man" season 2 were not enough, fans cannot also help but worry about how the anime series will turn out as it moves away from the studio that created its first season, Madhouse Entertainment. As the sophomore season of the 2015 hit anime series would also be entrusted to the hands of a different director, it is but natural for fans to worry about the direction that "One Punch Man" season 2 will be heading into.

To recall, Shingo Natsume, director of "One Punch Man" season 1, revealed in an interview that the anime series is unique, boasts of interesting plot twists, and, that, despite Saitama is a superhero, does not really consider him as one.

"I never really perceived him (Saitama) to be much of a hero. From my perspective, I never really focused on the whole scenario as a hero story," Natsume said.

With "One Punch Man" season 2 now in the helm of director Chikara Sakurai who is known for directing the animated movie "Naruto: Blood Prison," and under J.C. Staff anime studio, fans can only wonder if it can deliver the same fun and excitement that its first season did.
