OnePlus 2 Now Open for Purchase to Anyone, Invite-Only System Lifted

Good news for techies and interested customers who have been wanting to buy the smartphone OnePlus 2. The Chinese manufacturer of the device has announced in their official community forum site that those who are planning to purchase will no longer need to wait for an invite.

As noted in the post, they are now making their second-generation smartphone OnePlus 2 invite-free permanently as the company celebrate their second anniversary. They lifted the restraint on Saturday, Dec. 5, allowing anyone to get their hands on the device without the need of the VIP invite code. All they need to do now is to head over to the OnePlus site and purchase it with just few easy steps.

Aside from the removal of the invite-only purchase system, OnePlus also announced that they would be putting their other model, the OnePlus X, on an invite-free mode from Dec. 5 up to Dec. 7 only. They also surprised fans by giving discounted deals amidst the holiday spirit. The OnePlus 2 StyleSwap Covers are 50 percent off while select OnePlus One accessories are 90 perfect off. All other accessories are discounted as well, offered at 10 percent off.

All orders placed on the last day of the sale are guaranteed to ship and arrive just in time for the holidays. As reported by Enstars, the OnePlus 2 16 GB version has already sold out. Customers can still buy the 64 GB variant until supplies last.

The post concluded with the announcement regarding a final reminder about the holiday deal they are offering. Those who are in New York on Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. must look at the display of the NASDAQ screen in Times Square to know more about it.

Christian Today detailed that the OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch display. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, fingerprint scanner, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.
