OnePlus 3 News and Updates 2016: Device Goes on Sale Once Again in European Region
Fans of the OnePlus 3 in the European region may once again rejoice as the flagship killer smartphone is once again on sale.
High Demand, Low Supply
OnePlus' latest flagship device first went on sale when it was announced back in June. It received all the hype it deserved, given its beast specs at a very affordable price tag. However, it may have been received all too well, as the company struggled to keep up with the public demand.
Back in August, sales of the OnePlus 3 have been halted in some markets. The European region took a huge portion of the blow, so expectedly, fans and enthusiasts were a lot disappointed. OnePlus pointed out that the stock shortage issue was mainly due to the unforeseen high demand of the device across the European and North American regions.
On its first two years, OnePlus was infamous for implementing an invite system for the sales of their device. This meant that everyone who intends to buy the device needs to enter themselves into the buying system and wait for their turn before being able to actually buy the device.
As the invite system sometimes took painstakingly long for some, and made the device inaccessible to others, it was removed from the marketing of the OnePlus 3. However, a report says that due to this, OnePlus was not able to handle the excessive demand. Shipping dates for orders kept being pushed back.
Return of Stocks
Today, OnePlus 3 will be available again for the European market. Countries which will be able to receive the device include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. Hong Kong, which was also affected by the temporary stock shortage, is also back online.
The Graphite variant of the device will now be in stock for immediate shipping. The Soft Gold model, however, will still undergo the standard shipping turnaround of up to four weeks. Also, those who ordered the device after August 9 would have their shipping dates updated.
