OnePlus 4 To Boast Curved Display, Waterproof Feature and Longer Battery Life?
Users are becoming more and more excited to see the OnePlus 4 in the flesh as reports on the specifications and features of the next flagship of the Chinese start-up continue to surface.
The device is not expected to turn up until the middle of the year, but there are already rumblings on what it has in store for users.
There is greater expectation from the OnePlus 4 due to the success of its OnePlus 3T, which enjoyed praises from critics and users alike.
OnePlus has been fairly quiet about their plans for their highly anticipated flagship, but rumor mills have it that the company has big plans for it.
OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has already said that the OnePlus 4 will sport an active-matrix organic light-emitting display (AMOLED) display. PC Advisor adds that this screen might be a curved one, a first in the smartphone family.
The next OnePlus offering is also expected to boast a dual camera setup. One will have 16 megapixels and the other will be lower at 12 megapixels.
Another thing that fans will definitely be excited about the OnePlus 4 is its purported waterproof feature. With a sleek design to boot, the flagship will look good while still enjoying a robust build.
If the rumors are to be believed, a huge 4,400 mAh battery will keep the lights on in the OnePlus 4. This should provide users long hours of usage.
The OnePlus 3T packs a 3,400 mAh battery, one of the things that critics love about the device. It gives the handset enough juice to last users a while despite having to power up a large screen, which would consume much of that battery life.
With the OnePlus 4 getting a much bigger battery, it looks like the stamina of the flagship will be far more impressive than its predecessor.
The OnePlus 4 has no release date yet although it is expected to arrive around June. It is being said that it will be called OnePlus 5. This is because the number four is considered bad luck in China. One of the companies that take this seriously is BBK Electronics, and OnePlus and Vivo are under this company.
For the uninitiated, the latter followed up the Vivo V3 with Vivo V5. OnePlus is expected to do the same with its flagship line.
