OnePlus 5T Specs, Release Date: New Leaks Reveal Bezel-less Design, Key Features

Key specs of a device believed to be the highly anticipated OnePlus 5T have been uncovered in a benchmark listing on GFXBench.

The smartphone in question comes with the model number A5010 and while majority of the features remained unchanged, there are several upgrades inside and out.

The most glaring difference that separates it from the original is the display. The OnePlus 5T will come with a 6.01-inch full high-definition (HD) screen but its aspect ratio will be at 18:9 with a resolution of 2,160 by 1,080 pixels.

This means that the OnePlus 5T is adapting the premium bezel-less design, which will allow it to compete with flagships that feature an all-screen front panel such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo, Apple iPhone X and the LG V30.

Users can get a look at the bezel-free look of the device in another brand new leaked image that shows well-known gamer Alessandro Palmarini at Paris Games Week taking the device for a spin.

More on the design, OnePlus recently teased that the OnePlus 5T will not be joining another mobile trend and will instead keep its 3.5-mm headphone jack.

Going back to the benchmark listing, it also indicates a big upgrade in the front-facing camera. The OnePlus 5T will apparently come with a 19 MP snapper although Android Headlines believes that this is an error (sometimes benchmarking tools get this component wrong) and that it will actually be bigger at 20 MP.

Either way, it will still be a jump from the OnePlus 5's 16 MP secondary shooter. The primary camera is listed as 15 MP although it is expected to be the same 16 MP lens found in the original.

The OnePlus 5T will have 6 GB and 8 GB random-access memory (RAM) configurations like its predecessor and will have the Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

The OnePlus 5T is expected to be revealed later this month.
