OnePlus X Ceramic Now Available by Invites, Specs Include 5-Inch Display, OxygenOS UI, Snapdragon 801 Processor
Scoring a device from OnePlus may not be easy but it will all be worth it once it's in reach. And since Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is putting on sale a new version of their X series, fans of the company are crossing their fingers for an invite to purchase to come their way.
According to Android Authority, OnePlus has announced that the Ceramic version of the OnePlus X is now available for purchase. And as expected, it will only be available by invite just like the rest of their devices. They opened the slots for the invites on Thursday, Dec. 10. Those who are interested to buy it will need to get the invite first.
Ubergizmo reported that customers will need to take note that the invitation will not be the standard OnePlus X invitation. There is a different and special invitation made exclusively and valid only for the OnePlus X Ceramic. It may sound more troublesome than usual but those who are highly interested to see it will have to wait for it.
As for the specs and features of the device, The Times of India reported that the OnePlus X Ceramic is made from zirconia mold. It actually takes a total of 25 days to make, as revealed by OnePlus. Thus, only 10,000 units of the smartphone are set to be sold by the company.
The Ceramic version is also identical to the Onyx version when it comes to the hardware specifications. Both OnePlus X models sport a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen and runs with the latest version of the company's OxygenOS UI. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. As for its memory capacity, it is equipped with 16 GB of internal storage and can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. Powering and giving it life is a 2,525mAh battery unit, according to the Ubergizmo report.
In terms of the camera specs, OnePlus X carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2,2 aperture and phase-detection autofocus that takes 0.2 seconds to focus on the object. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The device also supports two nano cards with the microSD card doubling as a second sim card slot.
