“This is such a blessing,” said Lilly, a Slidell resident to OBI. “Without a roof off half my house and no power, we’ve needed this ice and need all the water we can get. Thank you so much.”

OBI was among one of the first to provide food and supplies to the Hurricane Katrina victims after landfall on Aug. 29. The Christian relief organization was mobilizing its relief efforts on Aug. 29, communicating with local churches to coordinate a relief plan and gathering supplies in preparation to distribute to the hurricane victims.

Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation (OBI) has impacted over 179.7 million people globally in 96 countries and all 50 states, providing goods and services valued at more than $1.1 billion.
