Oprah Owns the Next Chapter With TV Comeback

On New Year’s Day, Jan 1, 2012, Oprah will make her TV comeback with a new primetime series titled “Oprah’s Next Chapter”. The series will run on Oprah’s OWN Network.

Oprah just recently retired from an impressive 25 year career on daytime television. The Oprah Winfrey show was the highest rated talk show in American television history.

Oprah’s series will launch with special guest Steven Tyler of Aerosmith from 9-11 p.m. on New Year’s Day. In the two-hour premiere, Winfrey will discuss both personal and professional aspects of Tyler’s life, including his time as a judge on American Idol.

Oprah has said: “After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever -- moving around the country and the world talking to people I'm really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too.”

The weekly primetime series will feature Oprah in conversations with leaders in politics and in the community, celebrities, news-makers and real life families.
