Oprah Winfrey Snaps at Twitter User: 'I've Put 500 Black Men Through College'
Oprah Winfrey may extend her hand to poverty stricken people in other countries, but the 58-year-old media proprietor has done her fair share to help those in need at home, as she was quick to tell a Twitter user claiming otherwise.
While Winfrey is known for her philanthropy, one person took to Twitter to question why the media personality does not increase her efforts domestically.
"@Oprah when are u going 2 give back 2 the ghettos in America," Twitter's @awalkdatalk tweeted.

The media personality with close to 16 million followers decided, along with close to 13 million followers, to defend herself.
"@awalkdatalk when are u," Winfrey questioned. "I've put 500 African American men thru college. And u sir?"
Twitter users who witnessed the exchange laughed at the person who chose to question Winfrey.
"Yes Oprah, yes," one person tweeted. "Preach. We're all on your side."
Another person questioned if "Awalkdatalk" was attempting to get famous off of the popular media proprietor.
"Why is this dude trying to get famous off of a heated debate between him and Oprah," the person questioned. "Boy sit down."
However, the Twitter user who originally posed the question to Winfrey defended his line of questioning.
"But there's millions of us and everybody isn't classified as African Americans. Notice I said ghettos," 'Awalkdatalk" responded before conceding to Winfrey's point. "When I say give back, all of it isn't about money, but you got it."
Instead of responding to what some viewed as Winfrey's antagonist, the media maven chose to tweet about God.
"In God I move and breathe and have my being," Winfrey tweeted. "My favorite bible verse and words to live by. That is also my personal prayer that I am the woman God would have me be."
