'Orange Is the New Black' Season 4 News, Cast, Spoilers: Is Britney Spears Joining the New Season?
The cast of "Orange Is the New Black" (OITNB) may be growing bigger than ever in its fourth season. After three years of being continuously praised for the performances of the actresses in the series, fans have been wondering who can they see next, and the latest name to go around is pop icon Britney Spears.
Taryn Manning recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight and gave Spears a series of praises for her acting abilities. She also talked about how the idea of Spears joining the new season of OITNB would be something she will definitely be into. She shared, "Of course, I want Britney Spears everywhere you can see her. She's the best." Manning was further asked what she thought would be the best role that fits Spears, in which she replied, "Um, I mean, I don't have to make up a character — she's such a good actor that I feel like they could do anything with her. I was so impressed working with her I was like — she's just very sincere in her acting, you know? It's like everyone wanted to maybe hope that she's not gonna be good but she was great."
Manning has starred alongside Spears and Zoe Saldana in the 2002 film "Crossroads." It is a story about three childhood friends who went on a road trip, in their desire to reconnect after eight years of losing touch. They take a guy along with them during their journey and discover a lot of things about themselves on the way.

It wouldn't be such a surprise if Spears did decide to join OITNB. She has certainly been dabbling into the world of TV nowadays, appearing in cameos for a number of shows including "How I Met Your Mother," "Will and Grace," and "Glee." Her latest guest stint would be in the new season of "Jane the Virgin." There are also news that Litchfield Penitentiary will be experiencing an overcrowding problem, but there sure is enough room for Britney Spears to do a stint in season 4.
"Orange Is the New Black" is currently filming and is set to return in 2016.
