Orlando Bloom Miranda Kerr Divorce: Actor Speaks Out
Last week the young Hollywood couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr announced that they were separating. The announcement came in the form of a statement from Bloom's representative. But for Bloom fans looking for a more personal take on the couple's split, the actor spoke out about his feelings and the decision.
On Katie Couric's self-titled show which will air today, Orlando Bloom discussed his separation.
"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives," the actor said.
He also explained that the split is somewhat amicable, and they are putting the best interests of their 2-year-old son first.
"There's no question that, you know, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn. You know, life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for. But fortunately, we're both adults, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other. And we, most of all, love our son," Bloom said.
Just last week the couple announced their split.
"In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," Bloom's rep said in a statement. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
