Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Divorce: Did Different Lifestyles Cause Split?

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr shocked fans in October when they made a split announcement and a new report claims to have uncovered why exactly the pair recently parted ways.

For many fans the British actor, 36, and the Australian-born Victoria's Secret model, 30, appeared to have the perfect Hollywood union. However, different lifestyles and demanding careers are believed to have ultimately caused friction in their marriage. The estranged pair, who share a 2-year-old son Flynn, reportedly separated in recent months and sources claim a divorce filing is imminent.

"They've been living separately in NYC for at least two months now. They would just meet up to be with their son," a source told Life & Style magazine.

"Their careers just weren't matching up anymore," the source explained. "Miranda's all about socializing and building her brand, while Orlando just kept saying he wanted peace and quiet."

The Hollywood actor recently sat down with talk show host Katie Couric during an appearance on her show. Bloom, who is starring in the Broadway revival of "Romeo & Juliet," spoke fondly of Kerr despite their separation.

"Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately, we're both adults," Bloom told Couric.

"I'm 36 now, she's 30, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other, and we most of all love our son," he continued.

While Hollywood divorces can often spark public feuds and resort in the airing of dirty laundry, Bloom and Kerr appear to be taking the mature route, with the actor confirming that Flynn's best interest is all that matters.

"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives," he said. "There's no question, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."
