Orlando Bloom Talks Miranda Kerr Divorce Amid Justin Bieber Rumors (VIDEO)
Orlando Bloom recently opened up about his impending divorce from Miranda Kerr, however he remained tight-lipped regarding the reason behind their split.
The British actor, 36, recently sat down with talk show host Katie Couric during an appearance on her show. Bloom, who is starring in the Broadway revival of "Romeo & Juliet," spoke fondly of Kerr, 30, despite their separation.
"Life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately, we're both adults," Bloom told Couric.
"I'm 36 now, she's 30, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other, and we most of all love our son," he continued with reference to the couple's two-year old son Flynn.
On October 24 Bloom and the Australian-born Victoria's Secret model announced their split via a joint statement.
"They have been amicably separated for the past few months," the statement obtained by People.com read. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
Within days of this shocking announcement the duo was photographed walking arm in arm during an outing with their son in New York City. At one point Bloom gave Kerr a friendly kiss, suggesting that there is no animosity between the pair.
"We love each other. We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives," he said. "There's no question, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."
The pair has been married for three years and fans continue to speculate what exactly went wrong in their seemingly solid marriage.
On Wednesday reports claimed pop star Justin Bieber's alleged friendship with Kerr caused the separation, however this is believed to be false.
"She's always very flirty with him" and they have exchanged "dirty texts," a source told Us magazine about Bieber and Kerr.
"Orlando heard that there had been some flirting going on and he wasn't exactly thrilled about it," another source told The Mirror UK.
Kerr previously gushed about her estranged husband prior to their split announcement. Their last public appearance together was at the opening of "Romeo and Juliet" on Broadway on Sept. 19.
"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away," Kerr said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week—I have so much respect for him."
