'Orphan Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Delphine Could Be Alive, Sarah Will Find New Love

Aided by hints from the show's cast and crew, fans of "Orphan Black" are spending the waiting period before the fourth season begins by speculating on certain storylines, in particular, Delphine's (Évelyne Brochu). The character, who was last seen getting shot in a carpark, appeared to be dead. But while many believe that she is gone for good, others say that her role is too important for Brochu not to return in Season 4. Some fans have pointed out that the character has undergone major developments in the previous seasons and, as such, letting her go at this point would be a waste of a good story.

"Orphan Black" creator Graeme Manson only intensified the speculation over Delphine's fate when he responded to Indiewire's question about the shooting, saying, "Where did she get hit? In the liver? I'm not sure that's fatal…"

In the same interview, Manson also talked about having a definite endpoint for "Orphan Black," saying that though there had always been a well-defined conclusion to the story, the team behind the show was also open to experimentation. He cited this example: "Ari was originally supposed to be killed, but we just decided to keep him on because we loved him. We always knew we'd have a male clone, but we had no idea that it would grow into this."

This statement has been taken by some to mean that if Ari could be kept in the show, perhaps Delphine can be as well.

Meanwhile, Sarah (Tatiana Mislay), who, according to the BBC, will be in a "dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy," could have a new love interest. According to Design & Trend, "Orphan Black" showrunner Manson said that Sarah deserves to find love in the new season.

The Canadian science fiction TV series "Orphan Black" is set to return to BBC America in Spring 2016. It is currently shooting in Toronto and will be in production until March.
