'Outlander' Season 2 Trailer News: Jamie and Claire Are In Paris To Change the Future
Fans of "Outlander" are in for a treat as the season 2 trailer has already been released. The last time the fans saw the main characters Claire (Caitrona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) was when they decided to trade the Scottish Highlands for Paris society.
The season 2 teaser video showed a glimpse of their new life in Paris, but it's no sunshine and rainbows as it revealed that there is still no shortage of danger, drama and intrigue for the couple in their new surroundings. According to International Business Times, the reason why the two moved to a new land is so that they can change the past and save their future.
They are also on a mission to stop the Battle of Culloden, but it's not certain yet how things will turn out for that. There will be battles though which they cannot stop and, as seen in the trailer, the redcoats are fighting the highlanders, which can lead to the extinction of Scottish life.
Aside from the move to Paris, another thing to expect in season 2 is the baby on the way. Claire became pregnant before the first season ended and now they're going to have a baby. The source stated that Claire's pregnancy will progress quickly. One scene in the trailer also showed Jamie rubbing Claire's big baby bump.
Coming Soon detailed that Jamie and Claire will receive help from cousin Jared who will lead them to the lavish world of French society. The trailer provided a view of the new setting where the clothing is brighter, the meals are more lavish and the couple's bedroom is more deluxe.
But will they be able to change the events of time? Trying to change the course of history will entail challenges that may affect a lot with the people involved. "Outlander" season 2 will return to the small screen sometime in spring.
