OUYA to Play Sega Genesis, N64 and Super Nintendo Games
Owners of Ouya will have the ability to play Sega Genesis, N64 and Super Nintendo games on the new Android OS-based console.
Emulators will be available when the system officially launches later this month. A NES emulator called EMUya has already been submitted to Ouya for review and should be available when the system launches, according to Ouya forum admin and owner Ed Krassenstein.
Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 emulators have also been confirmed for the system as SuperGNES (Genesis) and Mupen64Plus (Nintendo 64) are also expected to be available for the device at launch.

The Mupen64Plus developer said that the emulator has already been approved by Ouya for inclusion in the official store.
The Ouya will be released to investors on March 28.
The Android-powered gaming console raised over $8 million on Kickstarter and now the developers are ready to reward their investors by allowing them to own their own Ouya.
Even though investors will be able to get the hands on the console this month, the official retail release is still scheduled for June. Ouya posted the March 28 ship date on its Kickstarter page and also stated that it plans to add new features and more games before the retail launch.
"Meanwhile, tens of thousands of you will receive your Ouya, and you'll get to start playing right away," wrote the company. "You will also get to watch Ouya evolve over the coming weeks and months. We'll continue to add new features, refine our user experience, and bring on more games."
These new games include one developed by Portal developer Kim Swift, an action RPG called ChronoBlade, The Ball from Tripwire Interactive, and a puzzle game from Minority Media.
Ouya is shaped like a glass cube and it runs Android OS, allowing Android customers to stream their purchased games directly to their televisions.
The console was created by video game industry veteran Julie Uhrman in 2012. She saw an opportunity to open up the last closed gaming platform for Android users and seized it by working on the concept of Ouya.
Along with her team of game developers, Uhrman was able to bring this concept to life, and Ouya quickly became one of the most successful Kickstarter projects of all time.
