Over 1,000 Baptized in Stand 'One Body' Campaign in Georgia
More than 1,000 people were baptized in Atlanta's Georgia Dome on Oct. 1 in the Stand "One Body" 2011 campaign hosted by Cory "Coco Brother" Condrey.
Condrey, a Gospel radio host, saw 1,133 people get baptized in the Georgia Dome Saturday in the culmination of an event termed the “One Body” campaign, according to the Black Christian News Network (BCNN). The event was promoted as a day where leaders, pastors, artists, and communities would come together to focus on unity and win souls to Jesus.
The organizer of "One Body" campaign was 33-year-old popular gospel radio personality Condrey, who, according to BET, after being fired from radio station Hot 107.9 and becoming homeless, over ten years ago, took a job with a station in a smaller market and became a major hit.

The host of BET's "Lift Every Voice," Condrey is based in Atlanta, where he has built a popular Christian youth movement through a nationally syndicated radio show known as the "Spirit of Hip-Hop," which is heard by millions of radio listeners in more than a dozen markets.
Condrey also participates in an evangelical campaign known as "Stand," which he uses to spread the gospel through outreach to teens and young adults.
"What started as an idea in 2007 has become an international phenomenon bringing thousands of believers together as one voice. The Stand One Body Gathering crosses both racial and social-economic barriers for one common purpose," according to the event's official website.
In an interview with Hamil R. Harris of the Washington Post last year, Condrey said, "There is a lot of ministering and preaching going on today, but nobody is going back into the streets," he said. "We have an opportunity to get into the streets, where people need hope."
In an interview with the Associated Press in 2008, the popular hip-hop evangelist said, "We're trying to instill Jesus into them, we're making it cool, fly, and showing them how they can go to their schools among their friends and love the Lord. And, it's coming from people who they can relate to."
On his program, Condrey has reportedly ministered to and prayed with rappers such as 50 Cent, Ludacris, Kanye West and Young Jeezy.
According to BCNN, “One Body” managed to attract the sponsorship of a number of major corporations, including, Home Depot, State Farm, Delta, and Others.
