Over 2,300 Congolese Pastors Attend Frontline Shepherds Conference

Over 2,300 senior pastors from the Republic of Congo attended the Frontline Shepherds Conference, sponsored by Global Advance, while over 230 Congolese Christian Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs attended the Business conference.

Thousands of senior pastors from numerous denominations in the Republic of Congo gathered earlier this month for the Frontline Shepherds Conference, hosted by a U.S. missions organization. According to Dallas-based Global Advance, over 2,300 church leaders met for the conference to be equipped in areas of church growth, church planting, missions and leadership development.

“Hundreds of pastors fervently committed to planting new churches in the next year,” stated Global Advance in a recent report. “The unity and worship of the pastors was electric!”

Concurrently, over 230 Congolese Christian Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs attended the Business Conference sponsored by Global Advance. “We were privileged to have several gifted businessmen on our team teach and encourage these marketplace missionaries,” the ministry reported.

Biblically based teaching and encouragement covered a variety of topics including finances, management, biblical problem solving, giving, integrity, and developing-world entrepreneurship.

According to the ministry, Frontline Shepherds Conferences, focused primarily on underdeveloped nations, aim to give native pastors and church leaders "a vision in their hearts and tools in their hands." Since its inception in 1990, Global Advance has provided on-sight training for thousands of needy pastors and church leaders in 53 nations. Books and ministry resources have been translated into 13 languages.
