'Pacific Rim 2' Spoilers: Guillermo del Toro Tweets Updates about Sequel

News about the upcoming sequel for "Pacific Rim" revealed that the film is already on its way.

The second installment of "Pacific Rim" will be directed by Guillermo del Toro, who has been hoping hard about seeing the sequel come to life. It was stated that he has been working hard to create a film that can compete with the successful Marvel films conquering the big screens.

It was reported Guillermo del Toro has had problems of finding a way to produce the sequel. With that, many speculations gathered that it was not going to happen anymore. According to IGN, del Toro himself previously addressed the issue with the statement, "It's not cancelled. I'm gonna do a little movie in between, if [the studio] deem[s] to approve it. But in the meantime we're turning in a budget and a script in three weeks [on Pacific Rim 2]. So it's still active. I still have my producer working on the budget and I still have the writer working on the script."
