Pacquiao vs. Bradley 3 Fight News: Bradley Says He Was Not 'Professional Enough' During Bout

Former WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley gave his personal assessment on his recently concluded rubber match against eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

The two men met for the third and final time on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue where the two fights in June 2012 and April 2014, respectively, were held.

This time around, Pacquiao was able to put on a more dominant performance compared to their last encounter almost two years ago, dropping "Desert Storm" twice in the fight, en route to a 116-110 unanimous decision victory.

In a report by Bloody Elbow, Bradley was deemed to be ineffective versus Pacquiao, as far as his punching power goes, that despite the punches he had connected, they simply were not enough to inflict damage upon the Filipino boxing icon.

"Still, as we have seen all along, even when Bradley connected, he could not do enough damage to hurt Pacquiao, though he did have one moment where he forced Pacquiao to clinch - Bradley's biggest moment in the series of fights," an excerpt of the report reads.

Bradley recently switched trainers, from veteran coach Joel Diaz, to Teddy Atlas, who is most notably known as one of the early trainers of former heavyweight world champion and legend Mike Tyson. The new duo did show promise when they first teamed up last November in a fight against former world champion Brandon Rios.

Bradley was able to emerge victorious via ninth round stoppage, subsequently earning himself the third fight against Pacquiao.

Yet, despite the changes, Bradley believes the main reason for his downfall during the fight was his lack of professionalism during the contest itself.

"Manny was strong the entire fight and he was also very patient. I wasn't professional enough to stay patient myself and I walked into shots," Bradley said in a report by Boxingscene. "He was very quick, very explosive."

Pacquiao ended his 20-year professional career with a record of 58-6-2, with 38 wins by knockout. Bradley, on the other hand, holds a slate of 33-2-1, and one no contest, with 13 wins by knockout.
