Palau Festival Heading for the Twin Cities

Less than a week remains before the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association (LPEA) makes its way to the Twin Cities for a massive, two-day evangelistic festival on the state capitol grounds. The Twin Cities Festival slated for August 7-8, will feature messages from world evangelist Luis Palau along with major Christian entertainers (TobyMac, Third Day, Point of Grace, Stacie Orrico, Jump 5, Casting Crowns, and Hezekiah Walker), food courts, a children’s play area, a sports zone featuring pro athletes, and an extreme sports showcase staged on a custom-built 9600 square foot skate park.

Palau festival events, with their “cutting-edge” approach and unique style, have drawn as many as 300,000 people in the U.S. and as many as one million overseas, while recent festivals have attracted tens of thousands, including 140,000 in Portland, OR; 125,000 in New England; 100,000 in Boise, ID; 55,000 in Santa Cruz, CA; 210,000 in Cordoba, Argentina; one million in Buenos Aires, Argentina; 300,000 Fort Lauderdale, FL. and 310,000 in Mar de Plata, Argentina.

Earlier this year, Palau went to Washington to connect with representatives of the 200+ churches that were considering a possible Luis Palau festival in the nation’s capitol.

Over 500 pastors and staff joined the Palau team at two luncheons to hear Palau’s vision to bring the Good News to the Capitol Mall. And next week, that vision will become reality.
