Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF8 News: New Camera To Come With Features For Selfies
There is good news for people who love taking selfies and are not content doing so with the use of their camera phones. Panasonic's upcoming Lumix DMC-GF8 is packed with features that will make taking self-portraits more exciting and produce excellent results.
The New Lumix DMC-GF8 is a new Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera and will surely be more fun to use than its predecessor, GF7, as it is equipped with beauty functions that is ideal for taking selfies. It comes with a three-inch 1040k-dot rear monitor, which tilts by as much as 180-degrees with its touch-control ability. Once the monitor is flipped, the camera is automatically set into a self-shot mode.
What makes GF8 ideal for self-portrait is that it comes with features at par with those of phone camera apps that many people resort to using if they want to enhance their self-captured photos. Its beauty functions can make the subject look flawless and slim, thanks to its Soft Skin and Slimming effects features. With its Beauty Retouch feature, one can apply makeup or retouch cosmetics in the captured photo easily. Hence, if a woman is not satisfied with the color of her foundation, cheeks, eyeshadow, or any aspect of her makeup, she can easily resort to the said feature until she is satisfied with how she looks in her self-taken image.
However, the Lumix GF8 is not only for people who are fond of taking selfies. Anybody who is into immortalizing moments through photography should consider this upcoming camera from Panasonic. Some of its non-selfie features are its Light Speed Autofocus and the ability to record videos in 1080p HD in AVCHD or MP4 with stereo sound. With its 1080/24p recording, the captured videos can be comparable to a movie's cinematic style. It can also produce time-lapse and stop-motion animations.
Uploading the captured photos and recorded videos on social media sites is also a breeze with GF8 as, just like other cameras, it has Wi-Fi connectivity that comes with an app. The app can be used to control the camera's focus, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture or to playback its gallery.
While this is definitely a piece of good news for gadget fanatics, Panasonic has not made any official announcement as to when the Lumix GF8 will hit the shelves and what price tag it will carry.
