Paralegal Found Dead Inside Lawyer Boyfriend's Home: 'She Was an Angel' He Says (VIDEO)

A 26-year-old paralegal was found dead in Philadelphia on Saturday and police are still trying to determine who or what exactly killed her.

Julia Law, whose body was found in the home of prominent lawyer Charles Peruto, Jr., was allegedly face down in a bath tub when a maintenance man made the tragic discovery. Law had been dating Peruto for just six weeks and worked at his law firm.

"The first thing I did was call 911 and police showed up. I then went to homicide to give my accounts of what happened," the unidentified maintenance man told NBC affiliate WCAU-TV.

Peruto, 58, was reportedly in Avalon on the Jersey Shore when Law's body was discovered inside of his home. Water was allegedly found inside of Law's lungs, but police found no signs of foul play.

"Julia was a beautiful, caring free spirit hippy, who I was blessed to have known. Words can't express how sad I am to finally have met someone who I believed truly loved me. You should all have someone touch your life, like she did mine. Pray for her. She was an angel," Peruto said in a statement obtained by ABC News.

The renowned defense attorney, who is best known for defending high profile clients Joey Merlino and Nicodemo Scarfo, continued his tribute on Facebook.

"I'm especially sad for her 10 yr old brother, who was her life, along with her loving and close sisters, mother and step-father. Earth lost the best one ever," Peruto wrote.

Police are still trying to determine why exactly Law was inside of Peruto's home in the minutes leading up to her death. They are still waiting on results from an autospy report.

Law, who was a Drexel University graduate, first began working for Peruto in 2011. She was just days away from her 27th birthday.
