Paris Hilton Boasts of $1.3 Billion Revenue
Paris Hilton has boasted that she’s made $1.3 billion in revenue since 2005. The socialite is featured on the January cover of the British version of magazine “FHM.”
Hilton told the magazine, “I’m involved in my products every step of the way. They’ve produced more than $1.3 billion in revenue since 2005. I have 35 stores and 17 product lines. And then there’s my racing team, my 14 fragrances, and my new project, the Paris Hilton Beach Club chain.”
She is the great-granddaughter of hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and became well-known after her appearance on reality TV show “The Simple Life” with fellow heiress Nicole Richie. Since then she has been on shows “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” and “The World According to Paris.”
In 2004 she wrote “Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Prose,” which made “The New York Times” bestseller list. “Variety” named her a “Billion Dollar Entrepreneur” and featured her on its June 28, 2011 cover.
The star has had a troubled past, serving 13 days at the Century Regional Detention Facility for charges relating to drunken driving and driving without a license. In 2010, Hilton was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession; she pleaded guilty to the charges and received a sentence of one year’s probation with 200 hours of community service, a $2000 fine and mandatory completion of a drug abuse program.
Hilton completed all the necessary requirements in Sept. 2011 and has remained under-the-radar since. She can also be seen on the Jan. cover of “Vanity Fair Spain,” and tells the magazine, “I’m open to my fans. I tell them my life on Twitter.”
