Paris Jackson Sucide Attempt? Teen Distraught, in Hospital
Paris Jackson reportedly attempted suicide on Wednesday morning. The teen is being treated in a Los Angeles hospital.
The biological mother of Jackson confirmed Wednesday that the teen, who is fathered by the late Michael Jackson, was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning after sustaining cuts to her wrist. While there have also been reports of an overdose, they are yet to be confirmed.
Jackson has had "a lot going on [lately]," Rowe reportedly told ET Online.
While fans continue speculating what exactly prompted the alleged suicide attempt, a source claims the 15-year-old Jackson was distraught after not being allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert. The rock singer is scheduled to perform at Gibson Amphitheater with Alice Cooper on June 6.
Jackson, who admittedly still mourns the untimely 2009 death of her late father, posted a series of troubling tweets on Twitter in the weeks leading up to her hospitalization. She alluded to her emotional struggles stemming from personal issues.
"I hate when people tell me to change… it's hurtful to know that someone you care about can't accept you the way you are," Jackson tweeted to her one million twitter followers on May 19.
"So done," another tweet read on May 20.
"Everyone thinks i'm over dramatic when i'm upset but like when an octopus is stressed out it eats itself, so… yeah.? on that note , g'nite!" she tweeted.
"Can't satisfy anyone," another tweet read on May 26 followed by "people suck."
On the day that the alleged incident occurred Jackson tweeted "'yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay.'"
In 2012, Jackson was embroiled in a bitter family dispute which resulted in the teen reportedly being slapped by her aunt Janet. The feud was allegedly in relation to a dispute over her late father's $1 billion estate, and the fact that a number of his siblings were reportedly left out of his will.
During that same year the teen sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a candid interview in which she revealed that Michael's death still haunts her.
"It never gets any easier," Jackson told Winfrey about her father's death on "Oprah's Next Chapter."
Jackson, who was raised by her father, has been photographed spending more private time with her mother, Debbie Rowe, in recent months.
