Pastor and Wife Share Their 'God Moment' After Finding a Wallet With $600 Cash
Pastor Jarrid Wilson and his wife Julianne from Nashville, Tennessee were surprised last Sunday after finding a wallet containing $600 in cash in the parking lot of the Franklin Farmers Market in Franklin, Tennessee.
Their first reaction was that of concern. It's a terrible feeling knowing someone is walking out there, possibly a tourist, without any money, they said.
"Both my wife and I realized very quickly that this $600 could be the make or break for someone's rent, car payment, food or many other things we need in life," Wilson told Faithwire. "It's not a small sum of money no matter who you are."

They were presented with a real challenge because the wallet had no I.D., and the credit cards were all in Japanese. The Wilsons decided to seek out individuals who can understand Japanese. Their search led them to Factory at Franklin, a nearby collection of shops and restaurants.
There, they met a group of individuals who were able to translate for them. The owner of the wallet was finally revealed: "Jin Yumanano." Wilson decided to try his luck and say the name out loud, and surprisingly, someone answered, "That's grandpa Jin's wallet!"
Wilson felt a flood of relief rush through him. "Jin was in his late 80's, barely spoke any English, and was here in Tennessee to visit relatives and perform at the Nashville Cherry Blossom event. Jin had no clue that he lost his wallet and was leaving the next day to go back to Japan," he said.
"He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, 'No words. No words,' while we hugged."
It was an experience that Wilson and his wife will never forget, and the Christian couple considers it a true "God moment."
"The fact that we not only found them, but it just so happened to be the first people we questioned blew our mind," Wilson said. "The cherry on top was that they didn't even know he has lost his wallet, and they were leaving back to Japan the next day. It was a total God thing."
Wilson, who is also an author and blogger, has his own website where he shares his thoughts about faith and life. In one post, he tried to lift the spirits of those who are suffering, saying that God has a purpose for everything, even their pain, so they should never lose hope.
"Who can better help walk with someone who has an addiction than someone who once had an addiction and lost everything? Who can better help someone who is going through the burden of bankruptcy than someone who has gone through the same experience?" he wrote.
"And who can better walk next to someone who is currently mourning the loss of a loved one than someone who has been through a similar experience? God can take our pain, our brokenness, our frustrations, our failures, and use them as the testimonies in which we help others," Wilson said.
