Pastor James MacDonald and Wife Host Valentine's Date Night; Discussion on Couple's Marriage Live Stream Free
After a Valentine's date night dinner for 30 couples hosted at their church in the Chicago area, Pastor James McDonald and his wife, Kathy, plan to share how they have been able to have a fulfilling and lasting marriage during an online streamed conversation Friday evening.
"They'll be sharing about how they've kept their marriage strong, their love fervent, and their hearts knit closely to each other and to Christ," Harvest Bible Chapel states on its website. "So, this Friday night finish your Valentine's Day dinner plans, then cozy up and tune into the broadcast."
The announcement made it clear that it's not essential that viewers have a special Valentine to watch the livestream.
"Remember, this isn't just for couples – anyone who's been married or would like to be in the future, will benefit by hearing from the MacDonalds, who have relied on Christ for a happening marriage together through decades of raising their family and partnering in ministry," the church stated.
In addition to the special event on Friday, Harvest's "Marriage Weekend" includes plans for MacDonald to preach on how to "Get UnStuck in Your Marriage." According to the announcement, "It will be straight from the Bible and apply directly to every marriage."
Kathy is MacDonald's high school sweetheart, and both are from Ontario, Canada, according to the church website. He is the father of three grown children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, and grandfather to five "amazing grandsons." His ministry focuses on "the unapologetic proclamation of God's Word."
"In 1988, along with a small group of ministry partners, James and Kathy planted Harvest Bible Chapel which has grown to 13,000 people each weekend, meeting at seven locations across Chicagoland each weekend," the church states.
Walk in the Word, a Bible-teaching broadcast ministry, was established in 1997 and now reaches more than three million people daily. In 2002, a church-planting ministry called Harvest Bible Fellowship was born and has established more than 90 churches across North America and around the world. "James' vision is for God to use Harvest Bible Chapel to plant 1000 churches in his lifetime," according to the church.
MacDonald is the author of several books including When Life is Hard, Always True, Vertical Church, Authentic, and Come Home.
The couple's discussion about marriage starts at 9:00 pm (CST). Go to HarvestBibleChapel.org/valentines (link will be live on February 14) to watch.
