Pat Boone Maintains Obama Was Born in Kenya, Not USA

Pat Boone is convinced that President Barack Obama is a Kenyan and does not believe the veracity of the famous - or infamous - birth certificate released by the White House to quell allegations of Obama's ineligibility to hold the presidency.

Despite the hubbub over Obama's origin of birth, leading to his ultimate release of his Hawaiian birth certificate, Boone insists that the president was born on the continent of Africa and believes that the produced birth certificate is "a photo-shopped fraud."

In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, the 50s pop idol, who is now a member of the Beverly Hills Tea Party, claimed to have interacted with Kenyans a while back who told him that the president was born in Kenya.

“I was in Kenya a year and a-half ago and everybody said, 'You know, he was born here,'" Boone said.

Boone questioned why the president would invest millions toward "hiding all of his records" and insisted that "experts" have dubbed President Obama's certificate a fake.

"Why else would he be hiding all of his records? He's spending millions of dollars so that we do not have his records," Boone said. "And experts have already looked at it and been able to verify that this long-form document is a fraud… But the media ignores it… A total fraud. A photo-shopped fraud."

Boone's charges are reminiscent of one-time Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who appeared to have based a media campaign for the presidency earlier this year on ferreting out answers concerning the president's birth certificate.

Following Obama's release of his birth certificate, the real estate mogul appeared before media cameras and claimed responsibility for the White House making Obama's birth certificate public.

"Today I’m very proud of myself, because I've accomplished something that no one else has been able to accomplish," Trump said.

Even after his announcement Trump was unsure and added, "I want to look at it, but I hope it's true… But he should have done it a long time ago."

Days later, Trump informed the media that he had decided against running for the presidency.
