Paul Walker $25 Million Estate Left to Daughter Meadow
Late actor Paul Walker, who was killed in a car crash in November, has reportedly left his entire $25 million estate to his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. The girl is currently living with her mother, Rebecca Soteros, but Walker named his own mother to be Meadow's guardian.
Walker and Meadow were getting reacquainted with one another in the days before his death. She lives in Hawaii with Soteros and didn't see Walker very much. However, circumstances had changed and the two were working on building a better relationship.
"He told me recently he was the happiest he'd ever been," Walker's close friend Brandon Birtell told People magazine. "It was directly because of the growing relationship with his daughter and the clarity that brought to his life. Paul told Meadow he didn't want to take a particular movie because he didn't want to be away from her. [Meadow] asked where it would be shooting and he gave her the dates and said, 'Overseas.' She thought for a minute and said, 'That's during my summer vacation. We can do that.'"
Walker's dad is the named executor of the will and filed the document with the court. Even though Walker chose to leave his entire estate to Meadow, he chose to have his mother be named her legal guardian and be in charge of the money. That could prove to be a complicated issue, given that Meadow lives with, and is happy living with, her mother. A court hearing concerning Walker's requests is scheduled for later this month.
"I'm glad I had her at 25," a younger Walker told Us Weekly, "because at 40 and 15, we're matching up sweet. It's just working."
Walker and friend Roger Rodas were both killed when a car they were driving at high speeds crashed and burst into flames. Walker was only 40 years old, and his death came as a blow to family, friends, and fans across the globe.
