Paula White, Jamal Bryant and Marvin Sapp Among Guests at 2011 Gift Conference
The True Love Worship Center is currently hosting the 2011 Gift Conference, taking place at the Worship Center in Van Nuy, Calif., and brings together celebrity pastors from various churches, including Paula White and Jamal Bryant.
The conference began on Monday with a presentation by pastor and recording artist Marvin Sapp, and will go on until Sunday, Dec. 11, with the last sermon being given by Brian Carn.
Marvin Sapp is the senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Mich., and his last two albums, "Thirsty" and "Here I Am," have reached the number one spot in the U.S. Gospel charts.
Other headline acts included Bishop George G. Bloomer from the Bethe’l Family Worship Center on Tuesday and Pastor Paula White from the Without Walls International Church on Wednesday. Pastor Jamal Bryant from the Empowerment Temple AME will speak on Thursday, as well as Brian J. Mosley from Bread of Life Ministries on Friday and finally Brian Carn on Sunday.
A number of gospel musicians will also add entertainment to the event, and will feature Pastor Desiree (Coleman) Jackson, Angela Christie, Jason Hendrickson and the group Voices of Destiny, according to a press release on the event.
Admission to the conference is free, and each event starts at 7 p.m. local time.
The 2010 Gift Conference was held at the same venue and spanned over four days last December. It included presentations by Dr. Jamal Bryant and Pastor Jamara Bennett. The popularity of the event encouraged organizers to put together an even bigger one this year with more presenters and attract more guests.
A representative from the True Love Worship Center shared with The Christian Post that the pastors speak on various subjects but focus on how the Holy Spirit guides believers, and encourage the act of gift giving from the audience for the upcoming season and in their daily lives.
