Pauley Perrette Ex-Husband Charged With Violating Restraining Order, Latest in Divorce Drama

Pauley Perrette, star of "NCIS," recently saw her ex-husband, Francis "Coyote" Shivers, charged with violating a court order and probation. The two divorced in 2006 and have been engaged in a battle of the wills ever since.

Shivers allegedly showed up at a restaurant where Perrette and her new fiancé were having dinner last month. He was ordered to stay away from her due to a restraining order filed by Perrette in the midst of their divorce. While Shivers maintained it was all a coincidence, prosecutors went ahead and charged him; he now faces 18 months in jail, TMZ reported.

Perrette is best known for playing the tough-as-nails scientist Abby Scuito on "NCIS," but her real life is much more dramatic, according to reports. After filing for divorce from Shivers, Perrette allegedly found herself being stalked and harassed. She claimed that Shivers was abusive during their relationship and manipulated the court system after she filed for divorce.

"He uses Family Court as his arena to harass women. There's no link between Family Court and Criminal Court, so he can commit perjury. He can put illegally gotten emails and false declarations into the court record; there's no penalty for it," she told Fox News in 2006.

When she went to file a restraining order, the judge gave Perrette two options: file the order or live with Shivers.

"Because of my fear of him, I left. I grabbed my two dogs, my cat, my laptop and I ran. My whole goal was to be able to work in television and film and maintain a normal life, never be in a tabloid," Perrette said. "I was clean as snow. And now there's this guy, and I find myself in the middle of a horror movie I didn't audition for."

"The three of us [Perrette, Garber, and private investigator John Nazarian] fear for our lives 24 hours a day. We're always looking over both shoulders," Perrette added.

Shivers, meanwhile, has alleged that Perrette is living out a fantasy that she wrote, which outlines steps including "stalk him, schmooze police and get restraining order. For years, I've been saying that this was going to happen – in court documents, in police reports. And finally it has," he told the New York Post.
