PAX East 2017 News: What PlayStation and Xbox Have in Store for Participants
The upcoming Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East to be held in Boston, Massachusetts this weekend is going to be a fun-filled gathering of players and gaming companies. In celebration of this annual merriment, the two long-standing giants, Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox, each have their own treats that fans can indulge in.
In a PlayStation blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment America's director for Social Media Sid Shuman has enumerated a total of 26 playable games for participants who will be visiting their booth. It has every type of genre available for players, from the puzzling yet responsive indie game "Rain World" to the sports-oriented "MLB The Show 17."
It's not just existing games in the market that players can take advantage of in the PlayStation (PS) booth during the PAX East. Playable demos are also available for the classic PS exclusive "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" as well as the visually stunning "RiME." For those who wish to immerse themselves into the captivating and convincing world of virtual reality (VR), PS VR titles "Farpoint" and "Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin" can also be played.
PlayStation indeed has a great lineup, but Xbox is not one to be left behind. Xbox Wire editor Mike Nelson has shared that the Xbox booth is also filled with games that players can try out, such as the recently released "Halo Wars 2" and the highly anticipated "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Special edition T-shirts can also be purchased, but they are not stopping there.
Xbox is also encouraging people to join the special sweepstakes which have 12 custom Xbox wireless controllers at stake. For those who wish to add flair to their gaming and get a memorable piece of the event, then it is definitely a collector's item.
Whether one is a PlayStation or an Xbox fan, the upcoming event is meant to entertain all players. The PAX East brings the gaming community together from March 10 to 12, 2017.
