The fourth annual Assemblies of God (A/G) Pentecostal Preachers Week concluded on Wednesday with inspirational messages about the Anointing of God.

Throughout the three-day event, nearly 500 preachers from across the nation participated in plenary discussions and attended worship services to help them in their spiritual training and ministry.

Andy Harris, pastor of Central Assembly of God in Haughton, Louisiana, opened the first day of the conference with a message for being “Anointed for Revival.” The crowd then partook in separate breakout sessions with the same “Anointed” theme.

The sessions included: “Anointed for Compassion Ministry” by Hal Donaldson, “Anointed to Teach” by Joe Bailey, “Anointed to Pastor” by David Strahan and “Anointed for Leadership” by Alton Garrison, according to A/G news.

Eddie Turner, Tennessee District superintendent, concluded the conference with a powerful message on “The Need for Anointing.”

According to A/G, attendants offered “glowing praise for the conference”.

“I’ve enjoyed the teaching the most. It’s all about the teaching. The point is to make yourself better, to get the fire back. This is a rejuvenating experience -- a word of encouragement to stay strong and keep your focus on God and not the petty day-to-day things,” said Jason Glenn, youth pastor at First A/G in Bradford, Arkansas.

“I definitely think every minister or leader should come to this conference -- anyone who wants to, from laymen to leadership,” Glenn continues. “You can always learn something new. The services are powerful. It’s just a phenomenal experience all the way around.”

"I think these kinds of meetings are a must," said Marcus Bakke, 77, pastor of Selfridge AG located on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Carolina. "We're in a dark area. We've got to have some mighty demonstrations of God's power."

A number of the videos of the plenary sessions are now available online for viewing. The complete set of videos as well as the audio recordings of the PPW plenary sessions will be posted by Friday evening at http://www.ppw.ag.org/.
