People's Choice Awards 2014 Nominations, 'Glee' Sweeps
Nominations at the 2014 People's Choice Awards were announced Wednesday, putting "Glee" in the lead with a total of eight nods.
Fox's hit drama-musical is in the running for Favorite TV Comedy, and four of its stars are nominated for acting.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the People's Choice Awards, and voting for each nominee runs through Dec. 5.
Among the most-nominated stars included Katy Perry and Sandra Bullock who earned five nods apiece, and this year's Favorite Movie could be one of the following: "Despicable Me 2," "Fast & Furious 6," "Iron Man 3," "Monsters University," and "Star Trek Into Darkness."
Oprah Winfrey is up for a People's Choice Award this year for her work in "Lee Daniels' The Butler," while television series "Dancing with the Stars" and "Game of Thrones" are also listed among the nominees.
Also, Jennifer Aniston is nominated twice- for favorite movie actress and for favorite movie duo alongside Jason Sudeikis in "We're the Millers."
Favorite television shows also include "Modern Family," "The Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother," "America's Got Talent," "Hot in Cleveland," and "Nashville," among many others.
Talk show hosts Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray, Steve Harvey, and Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan are up for the Favorite Daytime television hosts.
The nominations were announced from Beverly Hills' Paley Center for Media.
Serving as hosts at the ceremony in January are "2 Broke Girls" stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.
"Kat and Beth are great additions to our People's Choice family and we are excited to have them host the show," said executive producer Mark Burnett. "Their energy and charisma are a perfect fit for our audience."
The People's Choice Awards will air on CBS on Jan. 8.
