Pepsi P1 & P1s Specs Offer Users 5.5-Inch Display and 2 GB of RAM

There's tough competition in the smartphone market. But despite that, Pepsi moves forward with their plans of going outside the food and beverage field and dipping their toes to the tech world. According to Steelers Lounge, the company has already launched its mid-range smartphone dubbed as the Pepsi P1, which is the standard variant, and the P1s which is the FDD-LTE supporting variant.

The device is manufactured by Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment Co. Ltd and is being distributed in China only. Carrying its brand logo at the back, the Pepsi P1 and P1s will cost around $110 to $175. Phones Review detailed that the next 1000 units will cost CNY 699 while the following 1000 units will be priced at CNY 999. The last batch will be sold at CNY 1,299.

The source also noted that the goal for the crowdfunding target is scheduled for Dec. 3. Once the total target is hit by that date, production will start. As for the hardware specifications, the Pepsi P1 & P1s sports a 5.5-inch full HD 2.5D curved screen display. It will be equipped with a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor paired with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Its internal storage is 16 GB and can be further expanded via microSD card slot.

Camera-wise, the device is attached with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and video recording features and a 5-megapixel front camera. It features a 3,000 mAh battery pack as well as a fingerprint scanner that is located at the back. It will run with dido OS 6.1 based on the Android 5.1 operating system.

BGR also reported that its connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.1 b/g/n. Interested buyers can choose from the colors available which are blue, gold and silver. They will also get a protective cover, USB cable and charger in the box.
