'Person of Interest' Season 5 Latest News: 'Most Intense Season' Yet, Producer Says
As fans continue to wonder what would be happen next in season 5 of "Person of Interest," producer Chris Fisher has something to say to feed the craving of the show's viewers.
According to Comic Book Resources, Fisher, along with showrunner Greg Plageman, and stars Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Kevin Chapman, Sarah Shahi, and Amy Acker, talked to journalists during the New York Comic-Con to update fans about the upcoming season.
"It's going to be the most dramatic and most intense season we've ever had," Fisher promised. Chapman, who plays the role of Detective Fusco, also said the script "has gone to a new level." He addressed the issue that some fans raised regarding the season's 13 episodes, compared to the previous seasons. He said he doesn't believe that the pacing has been affected, adding that the cast and crew have instead "maintained momentum."

The audience saw a dark end to season 4, with Finch's surveillance system known as "The Machine" getting destroyed, but Fisher reassured fans of the CBS hit series that Fusco will retain his humor in the upcoming season. He compared Fusco to his personality, saying the character has been helmed from his "clown" personality.
As for the machine's significance in the show, Caviezel explained that Reese's purpose in the upcoming season will be to encourage Finch to believe that there's still a way to get everything to work again. Aside from the cause to get Finch back to his feet, he also said Reese will be trying to get Shaw back with the team.
Plageman hinted that one of the most exciting scenes will be that of Reese and Finch meeting up. "It's very bittersweet but a lot of fun, almost straight action," he said.
The actor further shared that season 5 will be looking deeper into the bond of friendship between Reese and Finch.
Entertainment Weekly said earlier last month that the upcoming season will not only be focusing on friendship but will also see Finch and the machine as Finch gets more personal with the most important thing in his life.
"Person of Interest" season 5 is expected to return at midseason on CBS.
