'Persona 5' DLC Price, Release Date News: Western Version of Game Launched With Free DLC
While the Japanese version of "Persona 5" has already been released in Japan last year, the Western version of the latest from the "Persona" series has been pushed back from its Feb. 14 initial release date. Fans don't need to wait much longer, though as the English version of "Persona 5" is releasing today, April 4. The new release also comes right off the bat with its own downloadable content (DLC), available for free.
Players who want to play the Westernized version of the next chapter of Atlus' "Persona" series can get hold of the title today, as it launches on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 version does not come with a day one patch, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. The digital download for the whole game just clocks in at a little over 20 GB.
The release also comes with several day one DLCs that can be downloaded for free. These DLCs include the "Healing Item Set DLC," "New Difficulty Level Challenge DLC" which is also known as the Merciless level DLC, and the "Skill Card Set DLC."

"Persona 5" players can also get hold of the Japanese voices for the game as it comes in the form of another DLC, the "Japanese Audio Track DLC." Available for free, this content pack is available in the North America and Europe PlayStation stores and comes as a 2.9 GB digital download.
The rest of the DLCs will trickle in starting Tuesday next week, April 11. Most of the upcoming DLCs will be in the form of cosmetic updates — extra avatars, costumes and music. For completionists, the entire set will run to $114.72 for the PlayStation 4 and $106.71 for the PlayStation 3, as summed up by VG247.
