Phaedra Parks Thanks God for 'Love and Kindness' on Twitter; Prays 'Blessings' for Followers After Birthday
Phaedra Parks has revealed her prayer to over 680,000 followers on Twitter after celebrating her recent birthday on Oct 25.
Parks, the 42-year-old Atlanta attorney and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," took to Twitter to explain why she was thankful to God.
"Thank you for the birthday wishes," Parks began her tweet. "I thank God for your love & kindness."
The Christian reality television star and budding mortician also prayed that her followers would be blessed, tweeting, "may God's divine favor & blessings always be yours."
Parks seemed thankful on the social networking website, despite the fact that she is in the process of divorcing Apollo Nida, who is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence for bank theft and identity fraud charges. While Nida, 35, serves out his sentence, Parks has been left to care for the pair's two young sons.
Parks admits that the hardest part for her is watching her two sons potentially go through a tough time with their father in prison.
"It is extremely hard … My heart aches for my two sons. They are the heart and soul of who I am," Parks told TV host Ellen DeGeneres. "That's the best thing we ever did together–we have great kids. I never wanted to do anything to diminish his character in public." Before speaking to DeGeneres, she remained relatively quiet about her marital issues.
Parks previously spoke to "Good Day Atlanta" about why she does not divulge too much about the personal hardships her family is currently enduring.
"A lot of times we're divulging too much information about everything. You go somewhere and people are telling you about their very intimate surgical procedures," she told "Good Day." "I don't want to know that you've had things removed, you've had things added. It's just certain things that should be a secret."
