'Phantom Dust' Remaster: Game May Be Closer Than Expected
A lot of classic games deserve to be reborn in modern-day consoles for a larger audience to appreciate and enjoy. As such, "Phantom Dust" Remaster is coming back, and it might actually be sooner than what one originally thought.
A few days ago, Xbox head Phil Spencer tweeted a screenshot of the game's remastered version, which also had a caption of 30 UPS and 30 frames per second (FPS). While this was appreciated to be from "Phantom Dust," some netizens rushed to criticize it and the platform it will most likely be launched in.
A Twitter user immediately highlighted the fact that it displays 30 FPS and deduces that it then won't launch on the much-awaited Xbox Scorpio. To this, Spencer replied saying that it's not on the Scorpio, and that it was a playthrough on his Xbox One.
While this clarifies the specifications indicated in the screenshot, it also indicated a subtle message — "Phantom Dust" Remaster may be just around the corner. Considering the fact that he's already playing through the game, this could only mean that it's very close to launch and fans will have to watch out for it.
It can be recalled that Spencer has also replied to another fan who was expressing his desire to know when to expect the title. He candidly answered that it should be before the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) which usually happens every June. This just further adds meat to the assumption that a release date is just close by.
According to Gematsu, aside from the expected remastered graphics, it will also be providing cloud-save support, cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One and a lot more. Players may also immediately jump into multiplayer as dedicated decks will also be given.
While there are no confirmed dates yet, it is safe to assume that "Phantom Dust" Remaster is coming very soon.
