Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics, Bulls, Pacers Reportedly Interested in Jahlil Okafor Trade

Jahlil Okafor's name has been mentioned in trade rumors for weeks now and many basketball enthusiasts believe he's as good as gone before the trade deadline, but somehow he's still with the Philadelphia 76ers. They have come close to moving him twice already. He was nearly traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, and a move to the New Orleans Pelicans almost happened as well.

It's back to the drawing board for the Sixers, but they still have a chance to trade him before the trade window closes because one of the most active teams in trade talks has reportedly been mulling over the possibility of adding him to their roster.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Boston Celtics could still be a possible landing spot for Okafor and the team was reportedly considering trading for the center. He also mentioned that the Chicago Bulls were still interested in bringing Okafor back to his hometown.

Okafor has been linked to the Celtics even before he was selected third overall in the 2015 draft, and he was once again on their radar during the 2016 offseason.

Okafor will give the Celtics an interior scorer they sorely lack; however, reports coming from the Boston Globe and Sixers beat writer Tom Moore suggest that the Celtics may have moved on and are no longer interested in Okafor. If that's true, the Sixers will have to look elsewhere to unload their center.

Meanwhile, ESPN has also reported that Indiana is another likely trade destination as the Pacers allegedly reached out to the Sixers to inquire about Okafor. The report said that the Pacers were "looking for assistance on the wing as well as in the frontcourt," and they were dangling their 2017 first-round draft pick as trade bait.

The Sixers will have to make quick decisions this time because the trade deadline is closing in. If they can't move Okafor now they will have to wait until the offseason.
