Philadelphia 76ers, Jahlil Okafor's Representatives Collaborating to Find a Trade Partner for the Center
A lot can change in two years.
Back in the summer of 2015, Jahlil Okafor was hailed as a gifted low-post scorer whose style of play should easily translate to the pro game. The Philadelphia 76ers had high hopes for him when they selected him with the third overall pick in the 2015 draft, and many believed that he had the potential to eventually become a perennial All-Star in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Fast forward to 2017 and Okafor is now the odd man out in the Sixers' frontcourt rotation.
On Friday, Sixers coach Brett Brown confirmed that Okafor was no longer in the rotation since they preferred to play Amir Johnson behind starting center Joel Embiid. And once Richaun Holmes comes back from his wrist injury, Okafor's chances of playing should get even slimmer.
The Sixers have tried to trade the former Duke University standout multiple times already in the past year, and it appears that they aren't giving up.
According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, the Sixers are currently working with Okafor's camp to find a suitable trade destination for the third-year center.
Haynes also noted that there are no clear frontrunners for his services. Well, that likely means he's still not drawing a lot of interest in the trade market. It's been that way for some time now.
But despite the lack of playing time, Okafor's not complaining and he's going to keep working on his game.
"Anything can change. It can change at the blink of an eye. Right now, I'm not in the rotation and that's what it is," Okafor said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I'm just healthy. I feel great. I'm ready to play. My coaches know that. My teammates know that as well," he continued.
"So I'm just coming here keep working day-by-day and we'll see what happens," he added.
